There are four major theme parks which comprise the Walt Disney World Vacation. To plan a family vacation for touring these theme parks which are Magic Kingdom (bigger than California’s Disneyland), Epcot, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom, you not only need time but also money as the trip can be quite complex. Meticulous planning is a must for getting the most out of your family vacation in the Disney World venues.
Here are some tips to make the most out of your vacation, so that you do not lose precious time or end up paying more than you have to. There are several planning measures which you have to take before you begin your trip. For example, consider the itineraries which would suit the ages of your children. Visit the Disney World website for finding the relevant activities and sights for your pre-school, teens or bigger kids. When booking for rides, there are special age and height requirements. Check it out to avoid disappointing your kid at the last moment. There are special dates and days when the parts are closed for maintenance. Check these out, prior to departure. To get the most of every day of your vacation, check out the calendar of events of each venue for special parades, live entertainment and fireworks. Since the distance between the parks is significant, if you want to end the day with a firework display, plan it accordingly. If you have kids who are too small to be sent out alone for a ride, go for the ‘baby swap’ which is also called ‘adult swap’ program. Here the parents alternately take care of babies who are too small and older kids. One parent rides while the other one waits. It is pretty simple and helps everyone to have a good time.
Look for the special ‘Extra Magic Hour’ relevant to the park you are visiting for the day. Remember, one of the four parks opens early for Disney world guests only. If you are staying within the premises, then go to that park early or it is best to avoid that park for most of the day. Disney’s water parks usually get packed by noon and Animal Kingdom closes early. So it is best to set out for your trip early on. Noon time is the hottest during the day when it is advisable to return to your resort or hotel with the kids. You could go back again in the evening when three of the four theme parks have special night time programs. Take advantage of Fastpass – a simple and free facility which allows you to break the long queues which you find at the most popular rides. Use them strategically though. To save money, take a lot of snacks and drinks with you. Kids need a lot of fluid during Florida’s hot and humid days.
